 PDG has adopted a new green initiative for the 2008 conference. In an effort to reduce waste and decrease the use of paper products at the meeting, there will be no paper copies of session handouts at the event. One week before the start of the conference you will be provided a web link to the handouts available at that time. Please take a minute to review the handouts and print any you would like to review. USB drives for saving handouts and notes will be provided by Account Control Technology, Inc. and notebooks will be provided at the event for taking notes. The handouts will be available electronically for 6 months after the conference.
If you are unable to attend the conference but would like to purchase the handout materials, complete packets may be purchased for $150. In a single afternoon workshop, you can listen to, participate in, and laugh at some of the most significant issues facing the recently appointed or even the seasoned Bursar. INSTRUCTOR: BARRY GREENBERG  Barry worked at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE) for nearly 16 years. He was most recently Bursar for SIUE for 8 years. Before that he held the position of Audit Manager for the SIUE and SIU School of Medicine campuses. During his tenure as Bursar, he oversaw SIUE’s conversion to E-commerce applications, establishment of a satellite Bursar’s Office and adoption of new customer service initiatives. Prior to SIUE Barry worked at AT&T for 22 years in the Accounting, Information Systems and Human Resources departments. In addition, Barry is an adjunct faculty member at Webster University teaching graduate finance classes.

Craig Weber is the founder of the Weber Consulting Group, an alliance that helps individuals and organizations produce higher levels of communication and collaboration as they engage difficult, complex, non-routine challenges.
Craig has degrees in Organizational Development from Brigham Young University-Hawaii and Organizational Psychology from Columbia University. In addition to his consulting work he has lectured at the American Graduate School of International Management (Thunderbird), Webster University School of Business & Technology, Santa Clara University and the Work Place Learning Institute at Columbia University.

Developing and Providing Integrated Student Services
The University of Minnesota will share the story of how they implemented their One Stop Student Services Center. With seamless service being the goal for their students, they developed an intensive cross-training curriculum to allow One Stop Counselors to answer questions and resolve problems from start to finish including the areas of registration, financial aid, and student accounts receivable. One Stop services come in various forms including web, email, phone, and walk-in counseling. Hear their experiences and the challenges involved in design and implementation, applying technology, cross-functional training, separation of duties, and administering a “One Stop” shop.

Putting Student Record Information at Parents’ Fingertips
Learn how the University of Minnesota developed an online tool for students to virtually share up to six different areas of their student record (including student financial transactions, financial aid awards and status, enrollment information, holds, and grades) to their parents and other guests. This new web tool has reduced the number of parent questions, reduced the need to process paper release forms, increased the understanding of the student account and financial aid processes, as well as furthered the goal of promoting student and parent relationships.

The registration fee for PDG's 29th National Student Loan/Receivables Collection Conference is $399. The fee includes three breakfasts, two luncheons, one reception, all refreshment breaks, and all conference materials. If you plan to have two people attend for only part of the conference, each person must pay the full registration fee. Please note: the conference sessions, luncheons, and breakfasts are for registered conference participants only.
Please complete and return the registration form as soon as possible. A check, purchase order, or credit card information should accompany the form. Or, you may register online at www.prodev.com on our secure, credit card safe, server. Registration confirmation will be e-mailed within five business days of receipt. If an e-mail is not provided, standard mail will be used. If you do not receive a confirmation, please phone PDG to verify your registration before you depart for the conference. REFUNDS
Requests for refunds will be honored only if notification of cancellation is received in writing (fax or e-mail) on or before September 14, 2008 for St. Petersburg or October 26, 2008 for Reno. Cancellation by telephone is not sufficient. Registrants who fail to cancel will not be refunded their registration fee. A $50 administrative fee will be charged for all cancellations. No refund will be honored after the conference. Substitutions may be made if registrant cannot attend.
